Dilshan Madushanka

Dilshan Madushanka is a Sri Lankan left-arm fast-medium bowler whose pace, swing, and attacking angle make him difficult for top-order batters. He can move the new ball into right-handers and use changes of pace when bowling later in an innings. Madushanka emerged through Sri Lanka’s under-19 and domestic cricket pathways before making his senior international debut in 2022. His reputation grew significantly during the 2023 ODI World Cup, where he collected 21 wickets and finished among the tournament’s leading bowlers. Rather than depending only on speed, he looks for early movement, attacks the stumps, and uses his left-arm angle to create uncertainty. He has since gained experience in international matches and franchise competitions, improving his ability to perform under pressure. Injuries have interrupted parts of his career, but his wicket-taking ability remains valuable. When fully fit, Madushanka gives Sri Lanka a new-ball threat and an important option in limited-overs cricket.
