Chamika Karunaratne is an energetic Sri Lankan bowling all-rounder who contributes through right-arm medium-fast bowling, determined lower-order batting, and athletic fielding. He usually bowls with discipline, using movement, changes of pace, and a strong competitive attitude to challenge batters. With the bat, Karunaratne is capable of supporting established players, building useful partnerships, and scoring quickly near the end of an innings. His willingness to compete in difficult situations has made him a useful option in limited-overs cricket. He made his Test debut in 2019 and later established himself more regularly in Sri Lanka’s white-ball squads.
