About Vishen Halambage
Vishen Halambage is a Sri Lankan batting all-rounder who combines aggressive right-handed batting with useful leg-spin. Born in 2005, he came through Sri Lanka’s youth cricket pathway and represented the country at Under-19 level before moving into senior domestic competition. Halambage is at his best when he plays with freedom, using quick hands and confident footwork to attack both pace and spin. He can bat in the top or middle order and is capable of changing the tempo of a match within a short period. With the ball, his leg-breaks offer a wicket-taking option during the middle overs, especially when batters are looking to accelerate. His performances in domestic T20 cricket have brought him wider attention and opportunities with franchise teams. Still early in his career, he is learning how to turn promising starts into longer innings. Continued experience should help him become a more complete and dependable all-round cricketer.
