Dinura Kalupahana is a promising Sri Lankan all-rounder who combines dependable right-handed batting with useful right-arm medium pace. Born on 16 June 2005, he developed through school and youth cricket before representing Sri Lanka at the Under-19 level. Kalupahana is comfortable batting in the middle order, where he can absorb pressure, rotate the strike, and build partnerships. His bowling gives the team another practical option, especially when conditions reward accuracy and subtle movement. He gained wider recognition during the 2024 Under-19 World Cup, finishing as Sri Lanka’s leading run-scorer with 196 runs. Earlier, he had also produced a composed 150 against West Indies Under-19s in a youth Test. Those performances highlighted his patience and ability to handle responsibility. As he gains experience in senior domestic and franchise cricket, Kalupahana has the potential to develop into a balanced all-rounder who can contribute in several phases of a match for Sri Lanka.
