Born on 10 October 2000 in Kohat, he developed through Pakistan’s domestic system and earned recognition with strong performances in white-ball competitions. Akif is most effective when he attacks the stumps, moves the new ball, and uses the crease to create different angles. He can also bowl shorter deliveries and slower balls, giving him useful options during the middle and final overs. Consistent domestic performances led to his selection for Pakistan’s tour of New Zealand in 2025, where he made his One Day International debut and took two wickets in his first match.
