Babar Azam, a world-class batsman from Pakistan, hails from Lahore. He has carved a niche for himself in the cricketing world through his hard work and excellent technique. He wears jersey number 56 for the Pakistan national team. With his excellent leadership, Babar Azam led Peshawar Zalmi to the PSL 11 (2026) title. His consistency has placed him among the world's top players and he has proven to be Zalmi's most reliable captain. Babar Azam's stats in his PSL career are impressive. He has scored a total of more than 4,000 runs in all the seasons so far, which makes him the league's top run-scorer. In the PSL 11 (2026) season, he played 12 matches and scored a total of 518 runs, in which both his strike rate and average were excellent. Due to his performance, Peshawar Zalmi reached the finals and won the title. PSL 11 was a season of awards for him. Babar Azam was awarded the "Hanif Mohammad Cap" (which is given to the top run-scorer) due to his excellent batting. Additionally, he was awarded "Player of the Tournament" for his outstanding performance and leadership throughout the tournament. He became the first captain in PSL history to win both these major awards in addition to becoming the champion in the same season.
