About
Mohammad Basit is a new and talented left-arm fast bowler who was born on 1 December 1999 in Bahawalpur, a city in Punjab. He started his cricket career at the domestic level with the Bahawalpur Region, where he impressed everyone with his speed and swing bowling. Before playing for Peshawar Zalmi, he performed brilliantly in the National T20 Cup, due to which he was selected for the 11th season of the Pakistan Super League. Mohammad Basit made his debut in PSL 11 on 15 April 2026 against Quetta Gladiators in Karachi. His debut was excellent, taking 3 wickets in his very first match. The best part of his bowling is his slower ball and accuracy, with which he troubled the batsmen time and again. He got a lot of encouragement under the captaincy of Babar Azam, due to which he was able to bowl well even in difficult times. Mohammad Basit has taken a lot of wickets for Peshawar Zalmi so far this season and has emerged as the main death-over bowler of the team. Given his performance, there's high hope that he will soon secure a place in Pakistan's national team. His game sense and ability to handle pressure set him apart from other new bowlers.
