About Mehidy Hasan Miraz

Mehidy Hasan Miraz is a Bangladeshi all-rounder whose accurate off-spin, improving batting, and sharp fielding make him valuable across formats. He first gained major attention as an Under-19 captain before making an immediate impact in Test cricket, taking nineteen wickets in his debut series against England in 2016. As a bowler, Miraz uses control, drift, and subtle changes of pace to create pressure, especially on surfaces that assist spin. His batting has developed considerably over time, allowing him to contribute important runs in the lower and middle order. He has produced fighting innings in difficult situations and shown the ability to form long partnerships with established batters. Miraz also brings energy in the field and a strong understanding of match situations. His versatility enables Bangladesh to select an additional batter or bowler without losing balance. With experience and growing leadership responsibility, he remains one of Bangladesh’s most important all-round cricketers.
