Usman Khan's Record 4th Century: Fastest 100 in PSL 11!

How is it possible that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is fair and there is no rain of records on the field? But PSL 11 has given cricket fans a moment that will be remembered for centuries. Usman Khan, who was already famous for his power-hitting, has displayed such feats this season that have left even the biggest batsmen stunned. Usman not only scored the fastest century of PSL 11, but he has also emerged as the first and longest batsman in the entire history of PSL to score 4 centuries. His torrid form has not only transformed the fortunes of the Hyderabad Kingsmen but has also forever etched his name in history as the PSL's 'King of Centuries.' Let's see how Usman's bat wreaked havoc against the Multan Sultans and turned a lost match into a win.
The target of 214 runs seemed impossible for Hyderabad Kingsmen initially. In a dangerous Powerplay spell, the team lost three crucial wickets (Maaz Sadaqat, Saim Ayub, and Kushal Perera) for just 48 runs in just 5.2 overs.
Usman Khan held the field during this difficult time. The turning point of the match was that he had a lucky escape on his very first ball; the ball took a slight edge of his bat and went into the keeper's gloves. However, surprisingly, none of the Multan Sultans players even appealed.
Taking full advantage of this opportunity, Usman started thrashing the bowlers and scored the fastest century of PSL 11 in just 44 balls. His stormy innings included 10 long sixes and 5 fours. He along with Captain Marnas Lambushane made a partnership of 123 runs in 64 balls for Hyderabad, which made every fan sitting in the stadium earn money and completely changed the course of the match.
Previously, the record for most centuries in the PSL was held by Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Kamran Akmal, and Usman Khan himself (3 centuries each). However, Usman Khan surpassed them all with his fourth century.
The most surprising thing is that Usman has achieved this feat in very few matches. His strike rate is consistently 150+, making him a true don of the T20 format.
Hyderabad Kings team was at the bottom after losing first 4 matches and everyone thought that Hyderabad would also be out of the playoff race like Rawalpindi. But then Hyderabad Kings made a comeback and by winning back to back 4 matches reached 4th position in the points table. Now Hyderabad Kings have 8 points from 8 matches and their hopes of reaching the playoffs are alive. If Hyderabad Kings had lost this match then they would have almost been out of the playoff race. But with Usman Khan's unbelievable innings, Hyderabad Kings made a comeback.
Usman Khan has wreaked havoc in PSL history and has become the league's leading centurion with 4 centuries. His most dangerous record is the fastest 100 (off just 36 balls), which he made on 11 March 2023 while playing for Multan Sultans against Quetta Gladiators. His form continued thereafter and he scored two majestic centuries in the 2024 season – the first against Karachi Kings (106*) and the second against Islamabad United (100*). Now on 22 April 2026, he scored his fourth century (101 runs) while playing for Hyderabad Kingsmen against his old team Multan Sultans, thereby becoming the player with the most centuries in PSL history.
