18-Year-Old Ali Raza's Youngest Hat-Trick in PSL history

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has always been renowned for showcasing new talent. But the charisma witnessed in PSL 11 changed the way cricket is played. Peshawar Zalmi's 18-year-old fast bowler, Ali Raza, achieved something even veteran bowlers couldn't in a match against Karachi Kings. He not only took a hat-trick, but also became the youngest bowler in PSL history to achieve this feat.

In this high-voltage match played on 22 April 2026 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, Karachi Kings made a strong start by batting first. With the batting of Jason Roy (85 runs) and Azam Khan (35 runs), it seemed that Karachi would score 200 runs. But the last over of the innings changed the entire match.

Ali Raza, who is playing only his first or second season, bowled such a spell in the 20th over that the Karachi batsmen had no answer. He completed his hat-trick by taking three back-to-back wickets in the last three balls of the innings. Ali Raza first dismissed Khushdil Shah, then dismissed Shahid Azez with a fast yorker at the speed of 147. Then on the last ball he bowled a fast full toss at 149.1 to Hassan Ali and was successful in his first PSL hat-trick and this was the first ever PSL hat-trick by a bowler of Pakistani bowlers in PSL history. Ali Raza also dismissed David Warner with his fast yorker and he is the fastest bowler in PSL 11 and his aggression is quite disturbing.

Ali Raza Ki Historic Hat-Trick: Wicket-by-Wicket

Ali Raza ne aakhri over mein apni speed aur accuracy se sab ko hairan kar diya:

  1. Pehli Wicket (Khushdil Shah): Ali Raza ki ball itni tez thi ke Khushdil Shah tackle nahi kar paaye aur hit-wicket ho gaye.
  2. Dusri Wicket (Shahid Aziz): Ek behtareen pinpoint yorker jisne Shahid Aziz ke stumps bikhair diye.
  3. Teesri Wicket (Hasan Ali): Hat-trick ball par unhone 149.1 km/h ki raftaar se ball fenki jo Hasan Ali ke stumps ura gayi.

Is hat-trick ke saath Ali Raza Peshawar Zalmi ke pehle aur PSL history ke sirf saatvein bowler ban gaye hain jinhone ye milestone achieve kiya hai.

Ali Raza's Explosive Bowling Form in PSL 11

Ali Raza has stunned everyone with his brilliant bowling in PSL 11, where he completed a hat-trick in the last over of the match against Karachi Kings and took four wickets to give Peshawar Zalmi the win. Furthermore, against Quetta Gladiators, he bowled extremely economically, conceding just nine runs in 3.1 overs and taking three wickets, with an economy rate of just 2.84.

His biggest speciality is his fast bowling, where he is bowling at a speed of 145 km/h to 149 km/h. This hat-trick and excellent bowling spells have made him the youngest hat-trick taker in PSL history and the most dangerous young fast bowler of this season.

Ali Raza has taken this hat-trick at the age of just 18 years and 35 days, by which he has broken the record of Mohammad Hasnain. Apart from this, he has become the youngest pacer in the world to take a hat-trick in any major T20 league. Ali proved 100% correct the trust that Peshawar Zalmi had shown in him by retaining him.
