Babar Azam Centuries List Year-Wise & Format-Wise
Babar Azam has scored 32 international centuries, including 9 in Tests, 20 in ODIs, and 3 in T20Is. His strong record across all three formats places him among Pakistan’s top batters.
With 32 international centuries, Babar is currently fourth on the list of Pakistani players with the most international hundreds. Former Pakistan Test captain and 2009 T20 World Cup winner Younis Khan leads the list with 41 centuries. Mohammad Yousuf is second with 39 centuries, while Inzamam-ul-Haq is third with 35.
Babar Azam is expected to score more centuries in the coming years, and he has a strong chance of breaking these records and reaching the top of the list.

Three Centuries in 2016
Babar Azam scored his first ODI century in 2016 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The most interesting part was that he scored three centuries in three consecutive matches during the same series.
He scored 120 runs from 131 balls on September 30, 2016. He then made 123 runs from 126 balls on October 2. In the third match om 5 October 2016, he scored 117 runs from just 106 balls.
By scoring three back-to-back centuries, Babar showed that he had the talent to become one of Pakistan’s leading batters.
Four Centuries in 2017
Babar continued his excellent ODI form in 2017 and scored four centuries during the year.
He made 100 runs against Australia in Adelaide and followed it with an unbeaten 125 against the West Indies in Providence. Later, he scored consecutive centuries against Sri Lanka, making 103 in Dubai and 101 in Abu Dhabi.
Two Centuries in 2018
In 2018, Babar scored one ODI century and one Test century.
He made 106 against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo. Later, he scored his first Test century against New Zealand in Dubai. His unbeaten 127 played an important role in helping Pakistan win the second Test comfortably.
Six Centuries in 2019
The year 2019 was one of the most successful periods of Babar Azam’s international career. He scored three Test centuries and three ODI centuries.
His unbeaten 101 against New Zealand in the 2019 Cricket World Cup was one of his most important innings. Pakistan needed to chase 238 runs on a difficult pitch in Birmingham, and Babar guided the team to victory.
During the same year, he also scored his first Test century in Australia, making 104 at the Gabba in Brisbane.
Two Centuries in 2020
International cricket was limited in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but Babar still managed to score two international centuries.
He made 143 against Bangladesh in the Rawalpindi Test. Later, he scored 125 against Zimbabwe in an ODI at the same venue.
Three Centuries in 2021
In 2021, Babar scored two ODI centuries and his first T20I century.
He played a brilliant innings of 122 runs from only 59 balls against South Africa in Centurion. His performance helped Pakistan successfully chase the target.
During the same year, he also scored 103 against South Africa in an ODI. He then recorded his highest ODI score by making 158 against England in Birmingham.
Eight Centuries in 2022
The year 2022 was Babar Azam’s most productive year for international centuries. He scored four Test centuries, three ODI centuries, and one T20I century.
His most memorable innings came against Australia in the Karachi Test, where he scored 196 runs. Babar faced 425 balls and batted for more than 10 hours. His outstanding performance played a key role in helping Pakistan draw the match.
Babar scored a total of 2,598 international runs and eight centuries in 2022. He also recorded 25 scores of fifty or more during the year, breaking Ricky Ponting’s calendar-year record of 24 fifty-plus scores.
Three Centuries in 2023
Babar scored three international centuries in 2023, including two in ODIs and one in T20Is.
He made 107 against New Zealand in Karachi. Later, he scored an unbeaten 101 against the same team in a T20I match in Lahore.
His final century of the year came against Nepal in the opening match of the 2023 Asia Cup in Multan. He scored 151 runs, which was his 19th ODI century.
Zero International Century 2024
Babar Azam did not score an international century in 2024.
He played a few useful innings in international and franchise cricket, but he was unable to reach a three-figure score for Pakistan during the calendar year.
One Century in 2025
Babar ended his 807-day wait for an international century on November 14, 2025, when he scored an unbeaten 102 against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi.
Pakistan successfully chased the 289-run target, with Babar scoring 102 off 119 balls. It was his 20th ODI century and his first international hundred since his 151-run innings against Nepal on August 30, 2023.
Zero International Century Through July,2026
In the first innings of the opening Test against the West Indies, Babar Azam was dismissed for 23 runs.
Fast bowler Jayden Seales bowled a good-length delivery that took the outside edge of Babar’s bat and went straight into the hands of wicketkeeper Shai Hope.
Babar made a promising start but was unable to turn it into a big score. He still has another chance to bat in the second innings.
Babar has also been given the captaincy again for this Test series. His fans will be hoping that he can lead Pakistan to victory and prove himself as a successful captain once again.
