About Rahmanullah Gurbaz
Rahmanullah Gurbaz is an attacking Afghan wicketkeeper-batter known for bringing energy and intent to the top of the order. A right-handed opener, he looks to use the powerplay aggressively, often taking on fast bowlers with strong drives, pulls, and lofted shots. Gurbaz made his international debut in 2019 and quickly established himself as one of Afghanistan’s most exciting batting talents. He later became the first Afghan batter to score a century on One Day International debut, showing that his game includes more than quick starts. Behind the stumps, he provides a specialist wicketkeeping option and contributes with sharp movement and fast reactions. Experience in franchise leagues has exposed him to different conditions and high-pressure matches. Although his bold approach can bring risk, it also allows him to change a contest within a few overs. Gurbaz remains an important player for Afghanistan because of his scoring power, confidence, and match-winning potential.
